護膚產品經過許多高科技測試和機器測試,在接觸我們的皮膚前,皆已經通過縝密的功效評估。我們將前往測試產品的護膚實驗室一探究竟。
一款產品從L'Oréal's R&D實驗室發明到進入市場,一般要歷經9個月至2年的時間。在此期間大約有50人會參與產品研發,產品於每個生產階段都必須成功通過各項測試。

原料評估

這是所有護膚產品的首項測試。如果所選用的成分和原料不是完全有效穩定或未能達致完美效果,我們則必須重新思考配方。每項產品的標準各異,例如:產品使用後必須沖洗(卸妝油)或無須沖洗(抗衰老精華)、應該使用於臉部或身體的哪個部位,甚至使用頻率都不同。

穩定性測試

第一階段測試通過後,產品將接受穩定性測試。目的:確保配方功效持久。這也是面霜必須存放在高達攝氏45度的房間內長達兩個月的原因,其效果相當於在浴室內擺放3年。如果產品有任何問題,原始配方就需要修改。

護膚科學測試:微生物和耐受性測試

所有產品均在完全無菌的沙威利拉呂(Chevilly-Larue)微生物實驗室進行測試。任何人必須穿戴新工作服、髮套和鞋套,並且在雙手潔淨的情況下,才能進入此實驗室。  實驗室以高性能設備和尖端科學技能共同測試配方的微生物學特性、是否含有污染(為了修改配方)以及包裝安全性。由於我們無法容許任何疑慮,因此標準相當嚴格,尤其針對眼部護膚產品。

儀器測試

目的:評估臉部護膚產品功效。測試類似於「使用前後對比」測試。爲了測試未來進入市場的面霜,對200位參與者進行非侵入性肌膚評估。評估小組會使用一些高科技設備:
— 皮膚晶片®:一種從數位印刷機衍生的設備,用來測試肌膚濕潤度。不到十秒鐘,即可捕捉肌膚的精細紋理,再以高畫質的圖像重現。該圖像可以用來評估肌膚保濕度,測試面霜功效。 
— 「膚色分析儀®」:此儀器為L'Oréal專利設備,專爲分析不同膚色使用。我們已經創建了全球膚色地圖(共66種膚色色調)。 
— 測量皺紋結構:此系統詳細記錄各種皺紋的幾何圖(深度,寬度,長度),並將其與使用產品28天後的幾何圖進行對比。這是證實抗衰老產品有效最簡單的方法。除了這些測試以外,另外也經常會在獨立實驗室進行測試以確認最初實驗結果。
